Photographs by Stephen Lopez

Intended as a tribute to Lopez’s hometown, Dallas, TX, this series distills moments of compelling beauty found in all manner of unexpected places, from all angles and perspectives. Each photograph is framed by the starkness of a letter or number, drawing the viewer through a graphic keyhole of sorts into luminous color and form. These four images were selected to represent the completed project, which encompasses a full alphabet and set of numbers.
